Gabriele Trabucco lives on 100 acres of Stanthorpe granite country.

He works with stone, clay and wood, often being influenced by the suggestive forms of boulders and trees on the land. He is open to unintended ‘accidents’ during the sculptural process which lead to unexpected, productive results.

Gabriele has a background in architectural and film studies having taught film for many years. He has been working as a sculptor for the past five years focusing predominantly on themes of nurturing of human life.

He has exhibited in Stanthorpe’s new gallery, “artworks on davadi” and is planning a sculpture trail winding through bushland on his property which will contrast natural granite rock formations and constructed forms.
