The Sheep Sculpture “Gloria” by Cedar Vale sculptor Mark Andrews has been officially unveiled in Teneriffe by the Brisbane Mayor, and the Governor of Queensland.
Made of fabricated, polished stainless steel, the sculpture is 2m high. The design is whimsical, considered appropriate as it is located in what is becoming the centre for arts, and alternative arts in Brisbane.
The sculpture overlooks the Brisbane river near the intersection of Dath St, & Vernon Tce, Teneriffe. This area is in the centre of restaurants & cafes in the Teneriffe, Newstead precinct.
A second sculpture “Gerard” is planned to accompany Gloria in the near future.
