Shillam Prize $2000, SQ Annual Sculpture Exhibition-Mt Coot-tha 24-26 May

This year’s Shillam Prize has been increased to $2000.

Several other category prizes are offered.

Sculptures may be indoor, or outdoor set in the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens.

Total prize-money for all categories is $5000

Student Sculpture Prize $250 Mt Coot-tha 24-26 May

This years, a $250 Student Sculpture Competition is being held in conjunction with the SQ Annual Sculpture Exhibition & $2000 Shillam Prize.

Entries will be displayed alongside the Shillam Prize entries at the Auditorium, Mt Coot-tha Gardens.

Student entry is free and membership of Sculptors Qld is not required.

Phillip Piperedes: Making of “Kokoda Trail” & “Bee Gees” Monuments Tues 7th May 7:30pm

Phillip is an accomplished sculptor and also owns & operates the Perides Art Foundry.

Recently he has completed two major commissions:

• Kokoda Trail Monument
• Bee Gees Monument

In this lecture Phillip will detail the sculpting and casting of both these significant events using both slides and videos.
